A Night to Remember at Beba – Montréal’s Hidden Gem

April 28, 2025

Some meals stay with you forever. They linger on your palate, in your memory, and in the stories you tell long after the plates have been cleared. Our recent dinner at Restaurant Beba in Montréal was one of those meals—so extraordinary that I’d hop on a plane just to experience it again.

Lou and I were lucky to be traveling with our incredible family-by-choice member, Nicole—a world-class foodie with an impeccable talent for securing the best reservations. This time, she outdid herself. Beba, tucked away in Montreal’s Verdun neighborhood, is a small, intimate space that radiates warmth. Its menu is inspired by the Spanish and Italian influences that shape Argentinian cuisine, combining old-world cooking techniques with seasonal ingredients. The result? Flavors that are anything but simple.

Let’s talk highlights:  If you’re a caviar lover, start there. Trust me. The pasta and pork were showstoppers—rich, deeply flavorful, and executed to perfection. While the menu evolves with the seasons, what won’t change is the impeccable hospitality, the soul-warming ambiance, and the undeniable magic of this place.

A special thank you to the incredible team of women who took such exceptional care of us and guided us through the meal. Your warmth, your stories, and that shared bottle of wine made the evening unforgettable.

Montréal is a city bursting with incredible food and experiences, but if you find yourself there, make dining at Beba a priority. Some meals are worth the trip. This is one of them.
