St Moritz (Switzerland)

February 27, 2026

Whenever I return to St Moritz, I feel as though I am stepping into a world where winter has been perfected. The light alone is worth the journey, that famous champagne glow that makes every run feel cinematic. Mornings begin on immaculate pistes and end with long, indulgent lunches by the lake, where time seems to slow in the most elegant way. Evenings are a constellation of ritual, from refined hotel bars to dinners that are part of the resort’s storied social history. In St Moritz, skiing is the heartbeat, but the lifestyle surrounding it is what brings me back year after year.

Ski Essentials:

Best runs:

Corviglia for long, elegant carving.

Corvatsch for big mountain drama and panoramic views.

Diavolezza for a more adventurous glacial experience.

Best hotels:

Badrutt’s Palace Hotel

Kulm Hotel St Moritz

Suvretta House

Season window:

Late November through mid-April with the most reliable conditions from late December

through early March.

Snow quality:

Dry, light and consistently groomed with the famous champagne climate that delivers

bright, cold, sun filled days.
