Thos. Moser Announces Its Newest Design

The Made in America furniture company based in Maine presents the versatile Freeport Bench By Sherry Moeller Photos by Thos. Moser and Sean Litchfield

June 8, 2026

With elegance and everyday utility in mind, Thos. Moser presents its latest design – the Freeport Bench available in sustainably-harvested solid cherry and walnut. The handmade American furniture company with more than 50 years of experience, offers this versatile bench for use in just about every room in the house. As a welcome addition to the foyer, the Freeport Bench can also serve as a seating bench at a dining room table or as a place to sit at the foot of a bed. This newest design reflects the company’s belief that simplicity holds beauty.

Made by hand of North American hardwoods, the bench features contrasting turned ash legs and visible mortise-and-tenon joinery, paying homage to traditional woodworking techniques. Each bench is signed by a single cabinetmaker, an enduring mark of Thos. Moser’s individuality and craftsmanship.

“The Freeport Bench is a distillation of values that have guided our work for over five decades,” says Philip Hussey, CEO of Thos. Moser. “It carries forward a tradition of utility and restraint while inviting contemporary use, a piece made not for a single room, but for a lifetime of rooms and rhythms.”

Made to order and backed by a lifetime guarantee, the Freeport Bench is available online or at one of the four Thos. Moser showrooms across the country, including Freeport, Maine, Boston, Massachusetts, Washington, DC, and San Francisco, California. For more info, visit www.thosmoser.com.
